This level 3 class, like most Avita™ classes is a full body experience. The emphasis however is on the hamstrings and toes. We don't stretch muscles! Why? Because they don't stretch. Instead we work on using them fully (the same way we work with bones and joints) as they were intended. Cramps may occur. They too are welcome the same as any other restriction. This class works in a strengthening manner on the legs and arms.

Materials: 1 Bolster, 1 Block

The assumption is made here in the Red class, that the student has worked through chronic pain issues and the compensatory patterns that accompany them. It does no good to push the body if the pattern and problem remains (and often hidden from awareness) because when we push the body we fall into the very pattern (and pains) that we are trying to resolve. Some will be drawn to the demand and excitement that the Avita Red classes offer. If they don't come with a sense of ease, though demanding, then please spend more time in the Green classes.

Avita Yoga® is an approach that specializes in resolving injuries, chronic pain, stiffness and hyper flexibility. It eases the body’s aging process by stimulating the body's natural, healing physiology. Avita Yoga address our differences--body type, age, life history, injury, etc. Too often we move around our problems without even knowing it, which tends to make them worse.

Avita Yoga® brings areas of conflict and rigidity to light where they can be resolved. It is a sustainable practice that generates longterm results with more freedom in body and more peace in mind. If you've ever thought that you are too stiff for yoga, then Avita is for you. The goal is simple: to remain healthy, mobile and happy as long as possible. As such, Avita Yoga is a no frills, results-driven practice. Best when practiced three times per week, it is a systematic approach that pays close attention to each individual body. It works for students of all ages, abilities and degrees of mobility. Avita is the yoga for a lifetime™.
