This level 1 class includes some words throughout to help the practitioner understand why we deemphasize the breath in Avita Yoga. Our ability to retain CO2 has a healthy impact on the body and mind. Quite simply, calm breathing through the nose during rest or activity moves us toward better health, and it takes practice. This, along with resolving the blockages in and around the joints is what Avita Yoga is all about. It's the perfect activity to practice the Buteyko Breathing Method and restore youthful movement. Physically speaking, this class has a stabilizing effect on the spine while mobilizing the hips and shoulders. If you don't have a bolster, a firm pillow will suffice. A belt from a bathrobe will work as a strap--anything about 5 to 6 feet long will do.

Materials: 1 Bolster, 1 Strap
